What is included with my Bargain Blimp Package? TOP
Our 'Blimp Exhibition Package' and 'Blimp Outdoor Package' is supplied with a strong storage bag, 60m of nylon tether with reinforced links, clip seal, single or 4 colour printing to both sides and delivery to your door.
What is NOT included with my Bargain Blimp Package? TOP
You will need to obtain your own supply of helium gas which can be purchased from any reputable bottled gas suppliers such as Air Products (www.airproducts.co.uk). who have local agents near to you.
Can I have my logo or text printed on my Blimp? TOP
Our 'Blimp Exhibition Package' includes 4 colour printing. The minimum printing area will measure aprx 2.25 x 1.5m. Please visit our printing page for more details.
Do you provide a graphic design service? TOP
Yes, we can offer a full graphic design service for your printing needs. If you have a low resolution graphic or rough sketch you wish to use for printing just email it to us and we will quote you for producing artwork suitable for printing onto you chosen inflatable product.
Alternatively you can direct us to a logo on your web site which we can reproduce in a suitable format.
Can a Blimp lift heavy objects? TOP
A 4m blimp has a lift of approximately 10lbs and is not capable of lifting anything heavier than this.
How easy will it be for me to inflate/launch my Blimp? TOP
Most helium filled inflatables can be handled easily by two people, and with some practice one person should be able to launch and retrieve them without difficulty. Full instructions are included with all our Blimps.
How much gas do I need for a 4m Blimp? TOP
Our standard 4m blimp will require approximately 6m3 of helium. Take a look at our helium page for more details.
How much does helium cost? TOP
Prices can vary considerably from one supplier to another. But as a general guide you can expect to pay around £150 for a 9m3 bottle.
Can Blimps be flown in any weather conditions? TOP
Our Exhibition Blimps can only be flown in wind speeds below 15mph. You should particularly avoid using it in gusty or stormy conditions as this will almost certainly result in damage to the Blimp and could result in your Blimp becoming detached from its tether.
Our Blimp Outdoor Package can be flown in wind speeds up to 30 mph as it is fitted with a specially designed tail system which will keep it pointing into the wind and will remain stable.
Unless you intend to illuminate your inflatable we do not recommend that you leave it afloat at night.
How long will delivery take? TOP
Our Blimps are manufactured and printed to order and standard delivery will take aproximately 4 weeks. Please note that any quoted delivery times are only intended as a guide and are not guaranteed unless you have paid for our Express Service. We recommend you make an allowance of at least one week extra if your inflatable is required by a specific date. If you require your Blimp urgently we can offer an Express lead time of 14 days at an extra cost of £99.95.
How long will my blimp last? TOP
PVC Blimps are fragile in nature and therefore are not intended to last more than a couple of months when used outdoors. If only used indoors they can last a year or more if handled and stored carefully.
Blimp Outdoor Packages are made from a robust PU coated material and are guaranteed for 12 months. With care there is no reason why these Blimps should not last for several years.
Are there any special laws or rules I need to know about flying Blimps? TOP
Most local planning authorities allow you to fly tethered balloons for ten days per year without planning permission in one location. We strongly recommend you contact your local planning authority for further advice.
You will need to obtain Civil Aviation Authority permission in order to
fly any blimp or sphere outdoors in the UK. We can take care of this service if you wish, for a
small charge.
The maximum height you are allowed to fly your inflatable in the UK is
60 metres from the ground.
